i had a date. paul took me to one of the cinemas here in siena. it's funny. there are three theatres rather close and each one plays only one movie at a time. we saw "un giorno perfetto." a perfect day. i was able to understand most of the words that were said, alas no concepts or ideas came across to me through speaking alone. i absolutely depended on what happened alone. it was really sad and depressing and i fear i missed some conversation that made any of the sadness meaningful. tragic. paul kept talking about holding my hand which made me uncomfortable. then off to dinner we went around 8:30 or so. the restaurant was three big rooms and we were the only ones there. Casato was the name and the food was delicious. the service was hilarious. a short, skinny wine expert was he. i enjoyed him and wished he would sit down with me instead. i mean, we had a good time, i just don't love all the cracks about us kissing and getting married. avast!
