Allora, my host, Signora Lusini wants me to call her zia and so I do. When I leave for school she pokes her wirey haired head out the kitchen window and says "Ciao! Sta sera!" with a big excited face. I love her. Franchesca told me when I talk on the phone with her my face lights up. She just makes me so happy.
Latte e cereale per i americani, pane, honey from her own bees!
Everything is fresh (fresca) and natural. She gets her eggs from her neighbor, the vegetables are from her garden. Last night the scent of her cooking risotto almost killed me it was so good.
It rained hard yesterday and apparently in the countryside the power goes out with each rain...so we did much by candlelight. Lei ha detto "che romantica."
I like it here.
