we went to church. the missionaries (all 4) got on your bus so we just got off the same stop as them. it was perfetto! sorella franca taught relief society. she had me read and say the closing prayer. it felt really good to understand a lot of what was said. a man (franchesca thinks his name is mario) with a quasi-mullet speaks english and is very kind and funny. he smiled and shook our hands. he drives due mezzo ore to church! 2 1/2 hours there and back. he blessed the sacrament. there were only maybe 7-10 branch members, 4 missionaries (non Todd ones thank goodness) and like 30 byu girls. i loved the members! they were really strong. they're patient as you try to read in italian, they smile and help you with words. i think small branches are incredible. each person becomes so integral because of the strength they add. each of them. i made friends with a couple of the byu girls. spero che i will make more. we have a relief society activity on friday and i've never been so excited for one. i also hope sorella franca and i become friends. la chiesa di Gesu Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni. e la verita. a lovely day at church, a lovely thunder storm followed by a lovely sunshine.
