Venezia!!!!!!

Breakfast with Rita and Roberto

Train from Siena to Venice

Lunch on the steps of a fountain in Bologna on a layover

Found our Hotel in Mestre Venice

Walked around our cute neighborhood shopping district

Found great pizza there and really nice waiters

Next morning had breakfast at the hotel (basically just cakes)

Went into Venice

Wrote post cards

Took a boat down the Grand Canal (sat in the very front)

St. Mark's outside and inside

Tetrarchs!

Walked, enjoyed, sight saw

Took a boat to Lido for lunch and had the most delicious gelato

Took a boat to Burano

The cutest bright houses, the cutest shops!

We spent some time with an old lady who hand sews everything in their store

Burano is famous for its lace

Bought presents

Bought fruit

Explored

Took a boat to Murano

Watched the sun set on the water

Most everything was closed on Murano 

Went back to the main island

Window shopped

Bought Todd a scarf

Had dinner (Todd had cod fish with polenta, pasta with ink sauce, and liver)

Wandered

Found our way back to the hotel then the station

Waited and made jokes until our 1am sleeper train
