Regina can just do kid things now. Three weeks ago she was still a baby, but now she can walk (it's strange to see someone so tiny waddle with confidence), say "Hi!!!" and wave when socially appropriate, say "BYE!" and wave when someone is leaving, say and play "peek-a-boo" as she does it herself, and plenty of other things. It's just weird that in a matter of days she began waving, and then suddenly just knew when it was the right time to say her hellos and goodbyes. It's so weird! Todd says that she has probably been able to do it for a long time, but she just had to work it out in her brain. She freezes every time she hears the obnoxious geese and then points to the closest window and babbles. I cried real tears of amazement and joy the first time she said "peek-a-boo." I can't really explain how I feel about these incredibly fast significant advances in her abilities and personality. I'm proud and happy she has clearly been learning so much, but it's as if her first birthday was the day she went from being my baby to being a teasing, talking, walking kid. I asked her if she could put my makeup back in the makeup bag thinking, "...yeah right. All she knows how to do is take things out of bags and she doesn't even know what I'm saying." Well she put everything back in the bag.

She is really good at squeezing and hugging.
She blows bubbles in her bathtub. I found this very exciting because when I taught swimming lessons half of the kids wouldn't put their faces near the water.
She frequently rests her hand in my cleavage when I pick her up. A girl after her father's heart.
Now that I know she understands what I say to her I told Todd we have to stop calling her names (i.e. when she throws her food on the floor and one of us says, "Regina, you tit head! Stop throwing food!")
