Audrey Flack came to speak at BYU yesterday. I got to have lunch with her and talk about marriage and feminist imagery in art. She was hilarious. She looks like she's 50 but she's turning 80 this year. I love her sculpture and I love her. She was the only photorealist during her time and was only female artist she knew. She was of the firsts to use an airbrush and while all the male photorealists were doing cars and motorcycles she was doing post WWII commentary, feminist commentary, and nostalgic images. It was really inspiring to hear her and she made me fall in love with my body more and now I really want to paint again.

Love you.
