i am in love with federico

i've made a kajillion friends. what is the deal?!?! i just decide to be social and friends with everyone when i know i'll be leaving in a short amount of time? why can't i make this many friends in provo? let's not talk about that. i got to eat with roberto and rita yesterday again. roberto and i work all morning, he drives me to his house on his moped, we eat lunch together with his wife and dog, then we go out to the back garden and cut olives until it gets dark and cold. then we go inside for tea and hot milk with honey and biscuits. what a lovely life i lead. then last night we went out to some church/workshop to pick up an artist. his name is 'aquafredda' if you can believe it. and his works of art for the new exhibit we're putting together. he's good. he teaches art too to middle school students. his toscana accent is so strong he slurs so much almost everything gets muffled in his throat. it's so pretty though. i love that it is the dialect i'm surrounded by and learning. it's true real italian. an original. i always say. here's a good idea. let's petition to bring kara and i back here to stay in italy foreva and eva.
