I received a newsletter update from the BYU Art History Department filled with wonderful things about the students', professors' and alumni's study, research, art history work, study abroad, grants, travel, museums, fashion, conferences, speakers and more. Why does it make me so sad to hear about their updates and success?! I feel an intense jealousy of their lives and depression about my own (job-wise, not about my wonderful husband, or beautiful babe). I yearn to be back in that wonderful environment, surrounded by extremely intelligent and interesting professors, subject matter, and friends who need share nothing more than the love of art history and its facets.
I want to go back to school and get my PhD.
I want to teach art history at a university.
I want to go to hair school.
I want to be a fashion illustrator.
I want to be an editor for Nylon, or Vogue.
I want to paint for a living.
